Thanksgiving

I guess blogs are coolest if you update them periodically.

Thanksgiving of '08 was one for the ages. We had a Thanksgiving dinner at the Smiths the Sunday before and on Thanksgiving we had dinner at the Stobbes. I've always said that if there is anything better than Thanksgiving, it's two Thanksgivings. At the Smiths we brought sweet potatoes that Jamie made. REALLY YUMMY. At the Stobbes, Jamie made two apple pies from scratch-ish. They were fantastic. I think that the apple peeling that I did really well, made the pies, I mean you could really taste the love I put into the peeling process. Grandma's stuffing was my highlight, Uncle A made some awesome mashed potatoes too. Everyone made wonderful contributions at both of our dinners.

After dinner we jetted down to Southern Utah to catch up with the Smiths and Broughs at Zions Ponderosa Ranch. There was a little snow but other than that, the weather was great. Our activities at the Ranch included a few hikes that the kids and I went on, skeet shooting, shopping by the ladies, movie watching, and we visited Jacob Hamblin's home in Santa Clara.

One thing we decided to do was hook papa up with a facebook page and blog. He was excited to get a couple people that wanted to be his "friends". He did say that he planned on "BLOCKING" pretty much everyone that asked to be his friends.

George also hit a deer in his truck on the way to the Ranch. It was one of the biggest deer I have seen. It was five point. It tore off the left molding of his fender and dented the hood, fender and grille.

It was a great trip, the weekend was awesome.
